My Morningstar

The road’s been hard
It’s been real tough
I’ve been through hard times
And seen a lot of stuff

It hasn’t always been easy
This you all know
I’ve traveled down roads
No man dare go

I fought the good fight
I won the race
I’ve served my country
And now I stand face to face

With the One who gave it all
So that we may have life
A life everlasting
Without pain, without strife

Throughout this life
I’ve found Great Love
One that’s not temporal
But to forever be in awe of

I’ve seen God’s glory
What an indescribable sight
I can’t wait for you to join me
Until then, I’ll hold tight

I hope you’ll recognize me
Now that I’m whole
I’ve got a new body
But I’m still the same soul

You should see this place
It’s too wonderful for words
Everything is beautiful
It reminds me of “my girls”

My dear family
My daughters and wife
You’ve given me joy,
You’ve given me life

Though I’m happy here
I miss you, and love you by far
Especially my darling
